Former Zora actress Jackie Matubia and her fiance Blessing Lung’aho have reacted to fans’ criticism of their fashion choice for the Black Panther premiere that happened last week.
Jackie Matubia: We will do better
The couple, via their YouTube channel, took jibes at fans for ‘their creativity’ in critiquing their fashion statement.
According to the mother of two, they received the premier invitation at midnight, so they saw it the next morning which was short notice to get a designer to do magic.

She explained that she called one designer and asked her to help her get a dress to wear to the event and that there were some things that she had to be stitched while standing next to the designer.
However, she jokingly apologised and promised to do better for the next event even as Blessing shared that they appreciated the criticism as it came from a good place and without insults.
But, the former Tahidi High actress may not have taken it lightly, throughout the video, she threw shade at people who had shared that her dress looked more like a baby shower outfit than a red carpet one.
“Mumetuingililia the Lung’ahos. Sijui mara nimesahau corset home, mara tulienda baby shower, guys had creative comments mpaka tukaanza kucheka. I felt I looked good, probably I did not meet people’s expectations, I am sorry. We will do better. Next time, we will do a survey for all of you, mkuje mtupee designs zenu, tuwaulize mnataka tuvae nini,” said Jackie.
She also mentioned that the event invitation said it was a fan screening and not the premier so she did not put so much thought into it.
Blessing however complimented Jackie and shared that she looked very good compared to what people shared on social media.
“Unajua mimi nilikuona na macho, wale walikuona kwa picha ilipostiwa, sijui. And you looked amazing,” added Blessing.
Jackie also mentioned they get paid to attend the event and so there was no way they would miss the event.
TikToker says Nameless dressed like robber
In a similar fashion critiquing news, a TikToker went viral after her video elicited angry reactions after she took a wild swipe at Nameless for his outfit.
The content creator was doing a review of how celebs dressed up or matched the theme for the ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ movie premiere.
Her comments about Nameless ‘dressing like a robber’ angered Kenyans who responded to her video with vile comments bashing her for clout chasing.
