Shiona Turini is no newcomer to those within the fashion community. She has been consistently building her power and track record within fashion for quite some time. That track record reads like a fashion lover’s dream; It is literally noteworthy and we will not just glance over it in this feature. So let’s start with her editorials shall we?

A perfect example of that aesthetic is seen in Season 5, Episode 7 where Shiona reveals, they wanted all the main characters to wear all Black women designers. Unprecedented!
As a costume designer, Shiona wardrobed seasons 3 of HBO’s popular ‘Insecure’—created by Issa Rae (her work can be seen in episodes 1 and 3-8), the pilot for FX’s “Y” based on the graphic novel “Y The Last Man,” ‘Insecure’ Season 4 and 5. Costume designing her first feature film, Universal Pictures “Queen & Slim,” earned Shiona a Costume Designers Guild Award nomination in the Contemporary Costumes category. She is an active member of both New York’s United Scenic Artists (Local 829) and Los Angeles’ Costume Designer’s Guild (Local 892).
Shiona has also collaborated with brands including La Mer, Tods, American Express, Calvin Klein, Kate Spade New York, MAC Cosmetics, Matchesfashion.com, and Tiffany & co.
